The owner of Victory Sport Horses Kate Chadderton, who hails from Australia, has joined the TaylorMade Stables training program. She will provide training for individuals at all levels in dressage, show jumping, and cross country; give eventing clinics; and provide event day coaching for participants .

Kate comes with an extensive resume. In Australia she competed successfully in eventing at advanced levels for eight years and won many 4th level (Australian) championships in dressage. In America she's competed in Georgia and Florida as well as here in Maryland in both Area 2 eventing and Region 1 dressage. In 2004 Kate won the prestigious Nescafé Big Break contest in Australia, which honors enterprising ideas and visions of all kinds. Kate's goal to compete in the Olympic Games did not go unnoticed by the judging panel.

While still in Australia, Kate had various placings at the advanced level in eventing and was the New South Wales state Champion. She felt that it was time for her to broaden her horizons, so noting the success of other Australian eventers who moved to the U.S., she followed suit.

Kate was a working student for Australian Boyd Martin, who has successfully established himself as assistant trainer to Aussie expat Phillip Dutton at True Prospect Farm in West Grove, Pennsylvania. Kate worked for Boyd for 3 years until she started her own riding and training business, "Victory Sport Horses" in early 2004. During this period she also trained with Martin's former boss, Australian dressage and event rider Heath Ryan and his wife Rozzie.

Kate brought her preliminary event horse "Rocco" with her, a rather distinctive seven-year-old palomino Saddlebred gelding that she owns in partnership with Margaret Warwick. Kate has been riding the talented gelding from the start and is working on moving him up the levels. She is planning to compete him in his first one-star at the Plantation Field CIC, following the Preliminary Championships at the Wellpride American AEC. The plan is to move him up to intermediate in the spring of 2009.

Kate's success in the US has also been noticed by Nutrena Feeds, who recently signed on as her sponsor.
